Exhibition Theme:
This exhibition invites visitors to journey through centuries of history, showcasing how Islam has been an integral part of Europe’s intellectual, spiritual, and political landscape. From the golden age of Al-Andalus to the multicultural fabric of the Ottoman Empire and the heart of Bosnia, the exhibition highlights the enduring presence and influence of Islam in Europe.
It also addresses the painful chapter of the 1990s Bosnian War, where identity became a target, and faith a reason for persecution. Despite the suffering, the people of Bosnia—Muslim, Christian, and Jewish—persisted and continued to strive toward reconciliation and hope.
Through maps, images, personal stories, and historic artifacts, this exhibition explores not just the presence of Islam in Europe, but its endurance and transformation within Bosnia—a place where echoes of faith still resonate amid the scars of war.
Something for the Whole Family:
In addition to the exhibition, we will also be hosting a vibrant bazaar on the day! Come and enjoy a variety of stalls offering delicious food, unique products, and an opportunity to shop, eat, and have fun with your family. It’s a great way to spend the day while learning and enjoying everything the event has to offer.
